If you are a current Blackbox/Concur client using Deltek Vision and are looking at moving to Deltek Vantagepoint, your connector will need to be updated as well. You will want to let our team know of the planned upgrade to Vantagepoint as early in the process as possible by submitting a ticket, or emailing us at support@blackboxconnector.com . Email sent to that address will automatically create a ticket for you. Below is the typical process for updating Blackbox to work with Vantagepoint.
1. We will provide an updated script to be run against your Vantagepoint database as soon as that's available. If you plan on testing in a sandbox (preview) then the script will need to be run against the sandbox. We can build a connector for testing batch pulls from Concur into Vantagepoint, but no data will be pushed from a Vantagepoint sandbox to Concur, as this could cause issues with data alignment.
2. As soon as the script has been run you will need to provide us with your Vantagepoint URL.
3. Confirm permissions are granted to our service account user in Vantagepoint for the following areas:
a. Screen Designer - For adjusting design, layout, and workflows on buttons
b. Utilities>Integrations>API Authorization - For creating an authorization record for the connector
c. Firms (If using the Invoice connector) - For setting up vendors for syncing to Concur
4. Full Sail will then build the new connector in Blackbox and configure workflows, layout, and settings on the Vantagepoint side.
5. Upon going live we will turn off the connector being used for Vision and turn on the new connector for Vantagepoint.
Total build and migration time for the new Vantagepoint connector may take up to 5 days, depending on your specific
configuration and any custom work that your connector may require. If you currently have custom code in place for your Blackbox integration, then letting us know of your planned upgrade as early as possible is recommended. This gives us time to update the custom scripts to work with Vantagepoint.
