Active Directory Enabled Service Account User Setup

If you use Active Directory linked logins in Deltek for your users, the service account for the connector needs to be setup in a similar fashion. To do this, follow these steps.



  1. Setup an Active Directory service account (typically BBConnector) in Active Directory Users and Computers.
  2. Make note of the password and ensure that the password is set to never expire.
  3. The account will need to be able to access the IIS site of your Deltek Vision application server – double check group membership to ensure this is setup.
  4. In Deltek, create a User in Configuration > Security > Users that has the same name as the Active Directory account setup.   Select your domain from the Domain drop down after clicking Windows Authentication.

Assign the user to the Blackbox Connector role, OR create a role that matches these specifications.
