Enable aSync on Web Service Calls

 

You may need to enable the aSync parameter on web service calls to Blackbox Connector when moving significant amounts of information to avoid seeing timeout errors from your Vision server. This parameter allows the call to continue to run in the background while releasing your session, and should be set as described below if you see an “Operation Timed Out” error. This applies to:

Vision Connector for Constant Contact/Mail Chimp

Populate List Method for pushing contacts or updating contacts from Vision Marketing Campaigns

Retrieve Statistics Method for retrieving email campaign statistics. 

 


Step 1: Launch Vision


Step 2: Navigate to Configuration > Workflows Scheduled Workflows   

 


Step 3: Select Marketing Campaigns from the drop down list, and select one of the workflow Events labeled No ASync


Step 4: Find the Web Service Action you want to enable aSync on, click on the hyperlink, find the aSync parameter, and change to ‘true’.
